The Role
We are seeking a seasoned, field-oriented Site Safety Representative for a project-based assignment in the Bastrop, Texas area. This is an active, boots-on-the-ground role designed for a professional who excels at hazard identification, contractor coaching, and bridging the gap between field execution and safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Representation & Coaching: Provide scheduled or dedicated on-site safety presence—observing operations, engaging trade crews, coaching safe behaviors, and escalating critical exposures directly to the GC.
- Technical Documentation: Author, review, and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Accident Prevention Plan (APP) support documents, and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Training Delivery: Conduct and document tailored safety training sessions aligned with GC expectations, complete with structured outlines and verified attendance logs.
- Audits & Inspections: Execute rigorous, scheduled site safety inspections and audits, delivering comprehensive written findings paired with actionable corrective actions.
- Operational Coordination: Partner directly with the Peril Mavens project team and client leadership to manage visit cadences, milestone schedules, and scope execution.
Note: Field incident investigation support is outside the standard scope for this baseline assignment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Proven field safety experience in commercial construction, with specific expertise across building construction, utility/trenching operations, electrical installations, or heavy concrete flatwork.
- Technical Fluency: Demonstrated capability in drafting clear, robust safety plans and AHAs, paired with strong communication skills to coach trades in the field.
- Credentials: Relevant industry safety credentials (e.g., CHST, CSP, OSHA 30-Hour Construction, or equivalent). Please highlight your active designations when applying.
- Location & Availability: Able to reliably cover the Bastrop and greater Central Texas regional market for the duration of the project timeline.
- Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Position Details
- Employment Type: W-2 Project-Based Temporary Employee.
- Pay Rate: $50.00 – $58.00 / hour (Dependent on Experience) or $400 – $464 per 8-hour day.
- Contingency Notice: All offers and start dates for this role are strictly contingent upon final project award and client engagement execution.
